Located 35km South of Margaret River, Hamelin Bay is home to many beautiful sting rays that frequently come right up to shore.
The bay’s calm and shallow waters make it ideal for swimming, paddling and fishing.
Plenty of marine life can be found in the reefs and rocks surrounding the bay, making it a great spot to snorkel.
Experienced divers or snorkellers can also check out the shipwrecks and caves nearby.
There is also a boat launching ramp, perfect for offshore fishing enthusiasts or for people just wanting to venture out in their boats.

Take the boardwalk up to the lookout for some incredible views.
Giant stingrays like to visit near the jetty - particularly in the morning as boats are coming and going. Do be careful when getting up close with the sting rays. Please remember they are wild animals and are a protected species.
Access
Beach access is via the Hamelin Bay Road West parking. Hamelin Bay is easily accessible by 2WD.
From the carpark, the beach is a short walk away. Entry onto the beach is by stairs.
In the Area...
Consider completing part of the Cape to Cape track to Cosy Corner, where you will be rewarded with amazing views. It is a 6.5km walk to Cosy Corner, or a 13km return walk.
Australia’s tallest lighthouse, the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, is a half hour’s drive away. The area is home to a large variety of birds, making it a great place for bird-watching.
Opt to take a fully guided tour to explore the nearby Jewel Cave, Western Australia's largest show-cave (tickets need to be purchased).
