Coastal Lookouts and Walks

Kalbarri

Take a short drive (south) out of town (up the hill towards Red Bluff) and every few kilometres you’ll come across a turn off to some of the most amazing coastal lookouts and walks.

The 1.2km Island Rock to Natural Bridge boardwalk (accessible from either carpark) provides stunning coastal views and ample opportunity to spot dolphins and whales.

Eagle Gorge lookout has incredible views and - if you’re feeling adventurous you can take the stepped rocky path to the secluded beach at the bottom (it’s well worth the effort) .

Pot Alley, Mushroom Rock, Red Bluff lookout (the highest elevation point in the area), Pederick Lookout and the Red Bluff to Beach Trail should all also make it on to your family Kalbarri list of things to do and see.

Our tip: The Kalbarri coast can be windy so aim to visit these sites in the morning (before 10:30am). You can pull in to ‘Jakes Point’ on the way to pick up a great coffee from the van that is there every day (until lunchtime).

A map, courtesy of ‘Explore Kalbarri’ is available here.

The below map pinpoints the location of Red Bluff - the highest elevation point in Kalbarri and a spectacular lookout.
