In the Area...
Take a guided nocturnal tour in the Barnia Mia animal sanctuary, where you will get the chance to view threatened native animals such as the bilby, woylie, quenda, mala and boodie in a natural setting.
Make sure to look up the dates and times of the tours before going as the days and actual start times vary seasonally.
There are a few bushwalking trails at the Lol Gray State Forest. For stunning views over Dryandra woodland, take the Lol Gray Trail, a 12.5km return walk to the Lol Gray picnic area.
A shorter option would be the Lol Gray Loop, a 3.2km return loop, which features heath vegetation and abundant wildlife such as the pygmy possums and honeyeaters.
